Cancellation & RefundPolicy

EFFECTIVE DATE: 16 JUNE 2026

At Sweetly Built, we reserve a limited number of event dates and order slots to ensure every client receives the attention and service their celebration deserves. By booking with Sweetly Built, you agree to the following cancellation, refund, and rescheduling terms.

Build Your Own Cake Bar Experiences

Booking Requirements

A signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable retainer are required to reserve your event date.

Your event is not considered booked until both the signed agreement and retainer have been received.

Cake Bar Experiences should be booked at least 60 days in advance whenever possible. Availability is not guaranteed for requests submitted with less notice.

Final Payment

The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days prior to the event date.

Clients who anticipate a payment delay must contact Sweetly Built before the due date. Sweetly Built may, at its sole discretion, grant a grace period of up to 2 days.

Failure to communicate regarding a late payment may result in cancellation of services and forfeiture of all monies paid.

Event Changes

Guest count changes, package modifications, flavor selections, add-ons, dietary accommodations, and customization requests must be finalized no later than 14 days prior to the event date.

Any increase in pricing resulting from approved changes is due immediately.

No changes will be accepted after the 14-day deadline.

Cancellations

The 50% retainer is non-refundable.

If cancellation occurs 30 or more days before the event date, any payments made beyond the non-refundable retainer will be refunded.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date are non-refundable, as event preparation, scheduling, purchasing, and planning have already been committed.

Rescheduling

One complimentary date transfer is permitted.

Requests to transfer an event date must be submitted at least 30 days before the original event date and are subject to availability.

The new event date must occur within 12 months of the original event date.

If a new date is not selected within 12 months, the booking will be considered canceled and all monies paid will be forfeited in accordance with this policy.

Additional date transfer requests are subject to a $75 administrative fee and availability.

Weather Policy

Sweetly Built can operate indoors or outdoors.

If severe weather impacts an outdoor event, the client may:

  • Provide a suitable indoor or covered alternative location; or
  • Request a date transfer, subject to availability and the rescheduling provisions outlined above.

Weather-related cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

Ordering Requirements

Orders should be placed at least 14 days prior to the requested pickup or delivery date.

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your order.

Requests to transfer a pickup or delivery date must be submitted at least 14 days before the original pickup or delivery date and are subject to availability.

The new pickup or delivery date must occur within 12 months of the original date.

If a new date is not selected within 12 months, the order will be considered canceled and all monies paid will be forfeited in accordance with this policy.

Additional date transfer requests are subject to a $25 administrative fee and availability.

Custom Items & Special Orders

Custom signage, personalized packaging, branded materials, specialty décor, custom menu displays, florals, and other custom items purchased specifically for your event or order are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or production has begun.

Clients may also choose to provide their own custom signage, décor, or branding elements for use during their event.

Force Majeure

Sweetly Built shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Severe weather
  • Fire
  • Flood
  • Power outages
  • Government restrictions
  • Road closures
  • Acts of terrorism
  • Public health emergencies
  • Serious illness or family emergencies

In such circumstances, Sweetly Built will make reasonable efforts to reschedule services when possible.

Cancellation by Sweetly Built

In the unlikely event that Sweetly Built is unable to perform services due to circumstances within its control, the client will receive a full refund of all payments received.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
